Strategic HR Assessment and Planning

EPG will assess the client’s existing HR operations and map out a new staffing model that is aligned to the needs of the business. EPG team members will assess the current state of the corporate HR team, its processes and compliance risks. EPG makes recommendations as to the correct structure, supports, budget, process improvements and technological enhancements for the HR function. In the majority of these engagements we find cost savings and efficiencies that pay for our time. 

EPG never just hands over a binder of recommendations, we fix things as we find them and leave the company in a better state than we found it. We operate with the assumption that if the company had the ability to implement recommendations after we leave, they would have simply fixed them before we got there. We add value from the day we walk in. 

The EPG team brings with it a network of strategic partners to evaluate your benefit costs and offerings, streamline and automate processes. For our smaller clients, EPG consultants maintain an ongoing relationship assisting with matters such as counseling, investigations, training and terminations.


Due Diligence

EPG works with corporate and private equity clients to assess synergies as well as potential liabilities and risks in mergers or acquisitions.  EPG assists clients in finding places to cut costs within a merged structure, "right sizing" the new combined HR department or assessing the staff to decide who to keep. EPG also helps guide clients through a merger and all of the resulting employee communications. EPG works with private equity clients to assess management focus and improve the HR delivery at their company. 


Maternity Leave Coverage or Flex Staffing for Senior HR Staff.

EPG supplies clients with an interim senior HR executive to make sure deliverables are met while the CHRO or other senior staff member is out on a maternity or other medical leave.  


Interim Staffing + Growth Support

EPG consultants step in to fill the void when a CHRO leaves the company. They work with the CEO to assess the existing staff and help to interview and find a full time replacement that truly meets the needs of the client. 

EPG consultants work with newly installed Chief Human Resource Officers to provide both strategic counsel on their organization as well as trustworthy interim staff members. EPG’s senior consultants jump right in and help to elevate the day-to-day operations.  They give the new CHRO credibility with internal constituents while affording time to truly assess ongoing staffing needs and to hire A-Players of their own.

EPG works with startups and smaller clients providing HR services to those who are not ready to hire a dedicated resource of their own or who only have a very junior employee on board. These services run from tactical operational help to specific project management assistance to strategic counsel to CEOs.  


Employee Relations and Investigations

With decades of experience dealing with employee relations there is not much we have not already seen. EPG team members provide guidance on tricky matters clients are not sure how to handle or for smaller clients serve as the go-to for employees when there is not dedicated internal staff. When it is necessary, EPG runs internal investigations of harassment, fraud, and theft for its clients. The investigation is always thorough and unbiased and more cost effective than using outside counsel.


Training

Upon request, EPG designs and implements legally required anti-harassment training programs. These programs inform both managers and employees of their rights and duties under the law and will help prevent behavior that could result in future litigation.  EPG OD specialists work with clients to develop other professional development programs that are required to help the team achieve their goals.

Talent Acquisition

EPG Talent Source supplements the HR staff to help source and screen candidates when the position does not call for the use of retained search and the client does not have the capacity or talent to do it themselves.  Recruiting is a skill and finding “A Players” takes time. The EPG recruiter assists in drafting the job description, posting it and screening the candidates, presenting only the best for consideration. Additionally, EPG has a broad network of HR talent to tap when there is an open HR position.
